Jeffrey Hewitt

Jeffrey Hewitt is a lifelong Orlando native and a fifth-generation contractor with deep roots in Central Florida’s building industry. His family’s legacy in construction dates back nearly a century — his great-grandfather founded a plumbing company in 1929 on Orange Blossom Trail, helping build the Orlando community during its early growth years.

Jeffrey attended Conway Elementary, Pershing Elementary, Pine Castle Elementary, Conway Middle School, and graduated from Oak Ridge High School (Class of 1988). He continued his education at Valencia Community College, studying Construction Management and preparing for a career in the industry his family helped shape.

He holds both a Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC) license and a Florida Certified Roofing Contractor (CCC) license. In the 1990s, Jeffrey studied Energy Auditing, gaining advanced knowledge in insulation, ventilation, and building performance — expertise that continues to influence how he approaches roofing systems today.

Jeffrey has served as Past President of the Central Florida Roofing Association and remains an active member of the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA). He currently serves as a Board of Trustee member for BrightFund Insurance, a workers’ compensation fund serving roofing and air conditioning contractors since 1959.

Under his leadership, Gold Key Roofing continues to operate as a locally owned and independent company — not hedge-fund owned — reinvesting in the Central Florida community his family has supported for generations.

Jeffrey has been married for over 24 years and is the proud father of two wonderful children. Family, faith, and long-term responsibility guide both his personal life and his approach to business.

Outside of work, he enjoys fishing of all kinds, is a dedicated Florida Gators fan, and is passionate about preserving Florida’s natural beauty and respecting the land that has supported his family for generations.
